Long Distance Relationship In College

Do you have someone you love at home and are too far to see them everyday? A boyfriend or girlfriend? Husband or wife? Trust me I know how that feels. I am going through the same thing. You go from being with them almost everyday of every week for months at a time to seeing them once a week to every other week. It takes its toll on a relationship. It definitely won't be easy, but you are going to have to be there for each other. The most important thing to have when you're in a long distance relationship is trust. You are never going to get anywhere if you cannot trust one another. Trust is not something that is just given, it has to be earned. I am sure almost everybody has heard that before. But not everybody could really understand that concept, maybe they have never gotten hurt like you or vice versa. I can tell you from personal experience that it is not fun and for those of you have been through something that hurt you, you know what I am talking about. It is hard to put your trust in someone who you aren't sure is going to hurt you or not. People say "Oh, I'm not going to hurt you because I love you!" But how many of them actually meant it? You are also going to have to make sacrifices for each other. Like for example, you might not get to go out and party with your friends, because many college relationships have ended with one going to a party, getting drunk, and cheating. It is inevitable if you are not in your right mind. Trust comes into play there, too. If you go behind their back and go party and get drunk anyway after they asked you not to, that is definitely not going to get them to trust you. You are going to have to make sacrifices for each other or more than likely in the end it will not work. If you love someone then make an effort to make them happy, don't go behind their back and do something that you know they wouldn't like. You might not think it's fair at the time, but for arguments sake, say you go to that party and say you accidentally kissed someone and your boyfriend/girlfriend finds out, more than likely that relationship wont stay a relationship. I mean was it worth it? Was it worth going behind their back? You have to think about the distance in general. The distance is going to be hard, it is going to make you have to prove how much you want the relationship to work. You are going to have to persevere, its just a question of do you want to or not? We are all going to have tough times, but if you really love that person then it is worth it all in the end. My advice to you if you are going through a long distance relationship is to be honest, be trustworthy, but most of all be patient. I know what you are going through and trust me it is not without its difficulties, but just know that you are stronger than you think. Something to remember is "Distance is just the space in between, it is only as far apart as our hearts will let it."

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

College is a great place to meet people, especially through Greek life. If you look closely at sororities, you'll quickly see there are many different types of girls you will meet.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
