5 Lizzo Lyrics You NEED To Hear That Will Immediately Boost Your Confidence

In This Article:

In an industry often over-saturated with predominantly thin white women singing love songs, Lizzo represents everything that it both lacks and DESPERATELY needs: a talented, unapologetically big and beautiful black woman with songs about self-love and empowerment.

Inspiration just seems to radiate from her, so if you're looking for advice, guidance, or a cute Instagram caption, here are the top five lyrics that you NEED to hear:

"No, I'm not a snack at all, look baby, I'm the whole damn meal." (Juice)

You ARE a whole meal - don't ever think otherwise.

"I am my inspiration." (Water Me)

When you finally start to fall in love with who you are, you begin to see all of the ways you inspire yourself - channel that and you'll rule the world.

"Go on dust your shoulders off, keep it moving." (Good as Hell)

No matter what life throws at you - and it can throw a lot - the power of a hair toss and boss b-tch attitude can see you through some of your hardest times.

"I'ma do my thing, no apologies." (Scuse Me)

Live your BEST life, baby.

"I just took a DNA test, turns out I'm 100% that b-" (Truth Hurts)

OF COURSE, what might be the most iconic lyric of them all is saved for last - the truth can hurt, but nothing can top the feeling when you realize that you really are that b-tch

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
