Living With Suitemates As Told By 'The Office'
Writer

Six girls, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a makeshift kitchen, one suite, but a whole lot of love. Between the late night gossip, midnight snacks, Netflix binge watching, numerous broken appliances, infinite inside jokes and arguing about whose turn it is to take out the trash, there is never a dull moment. I am so grateful for my suitemates' love, sarcasm, and laughter every day of the week. Living with five other girls is an experience, to say the least, and what better way to describe this experience than The Office:

1. When you’re broke but your suitemates want to order food.

2. Trying to subtly hint that the room is starting to get filthy, but not wanting to start issues by telling your suitemates to clean.

3. When it’s your turn to do the dishes/take out the trash.

4. Binge watching Netflix is acceptable in your suite

5. You’re really excited when one of your suitemates starts dating someone new.

6. Sometimes you have to convince them to come out with you.

7. But on some nights you’re definitely content with staying in with them.

8. When you ask them for outfit advice.

9. Turning to your suitemates for justification for eating ice cream at 2:15 a.m.

10. You love gossiping with each other.

11. When you all have tests/papers due on the same days and pull all-nighters together and you all collectively accept defeat.

12. Someone is always willing to share food with you.

13. They’re always on your Snapchat story (usually doing something ridiculous).

14. They don't judge you for being a weirdo.

15. You spend so much time with your suitemates that you start to act like them.

16. You also spend enough time together that you get annoyed with each other.

17. But no matter what, you always have someone to turn to.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).
