After living in a suite for the first year of college, it's difficult to imagine what it's like to not live with sixteen other girls, all of whom, for better or for worse, have become like family. Once you've seen everyone entirely naked, in tears, clumsily eating a birthday cake on the floor, it's tough not to feel at home whenever you're with them. With sixteen people, it's impossible to all remain incredibly close, as splitting off seems inevitable, but it's so comforting to realize that when the entire band is back together, it's like nothing has changed. The same jokes are told, the same comforting feeling is felt, and it's almost like going home for a weekend and sleeping on the couch next to your mom and dog. There's nothing like growing up through your freshman year of school with a group of girls that literally see it all and still answer your old group chat, still without a worry in the world when the artichoke dip gets passed around.
