You act as though you are living through the word, but how often do you actually take in the knowledge of it? You say He is apart of who you are, but are you truly showing the world the magnificent light that lives within you? You call yourself a Christian, but are you really living out what you say you believe?
Living in a predominantly cruel world, ravished with poverty and sin, it is important to be comfortable with your faith in that you are not afraid to share with others what you truly believe. We are called to serve, and it is possible that by telling someone about the love of God, it could be the only time they will ever learn about true everlasting, never-failing love.
But if we are called to serve, then why are we not doing so? Ultimately, we are the ones responsible for helping to bring others to Christ, and how can we do that if we are not living out our faith, but simply living in the foothills of it.
We are told to help others find themselves in Christ, but we must first find ourselves in our own faith. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19)
To disciple means to "accept and assist in spreading the doctrines of another." (Merriam Webster). Being a disciple does not mean you have to be a preacher or a missionary, but rather it means you are agreeing to share the gospel of Christ with those who have never heard it before.
If you are wondering what your calling is in life, wonder no more. Everyone's calling is to disciple. Whether or not you want to place yourself into a field of service, especially one that deals with the death, burial and resurrection of the one true God, we were made and put on this earth to teach about the word of God and to express His love by speaking the truth.
Digging into the word of God is an important aspect of fully comprehending the meaning behind living out what you believe. To be effective in sharing the love of Christ, you must understand everything you read and be completely comfortable with the basis of your faith.
Take pride in the enlightenment of others by blazing trails of a new perception of your own faith. By understanding yourself, you will be able to better profess what you believe, and in doing so, bring others to the only love that is purely unconditional.
Do not skip out on the wonderful, God-given responsibility of helping to bring others to their salvation. We were made in the image of God, and with an unbelievable capability of comprehension and spiritual awareness.
Climb the highest peak of understanding and grasp the full knowledge of Christ instead of merely just residing in the foothills of faith. When you reach that moment, you will truly be capable of changing hearts and of moving mountains.
