Going away to college means living away from home, probably getting your first roommate, and living in the dorms. That last one is probably the biggest change. You're no longer able to sleep in the comfort of your own bed but you do get to live steps away from some of your best friends. I asked people what they loved/hated about living in the dorms.

1. I love being close to food.

I honestly don't know what I'll do when I no longer have a meal plan.

2. I hate my roommate's boyfriend.

Yikes...

3. I love the proximity to campus.

Although, sometimes I can't even bring myself to walk the four minutes from my dorm to the dining hall.

4. It kind of just sucks.

Dorms are just a no go.

5. I love being around so many people.

You'll never be bored with so many people living around you. Every time you step out of your room there's probably at least three people hanging out outside.

6. I hate sharing a room.

Having to share such a small space with another person can take some getting used to.

7. I love meeting people.

Maybe the person living two doors down from you will end becoming one of your closest friends.

8. I hate how people were loud at night.

Sometimes you really just need to go to bed.

9. I hate having to be quiet at like 10.

Do people actually get to go to bed at 10 though? I need to meet these people.

10. I love being able to walk into my bff's room whenever.

You'll probably meet some of your best friends in college and the best part is, they'll live steps away from you!

You never know what you're going to get when living in the dorms.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
