"Ugh, it's Monday." "TGIF" "I want warmer weather." "I want cooler weather." "Can we skip Halloween and go straight to Thanksgiving and Christmas?"

These are all phrases you have read on Facebook, heard someone say, or said yourself. Since when did we become a society that is so unsatisfied?

Don't get me wrong: I love fall just as much as the next person. The crisp air and cute outfits and not sweating when you walk from your house to the car are all definitely some of my favorite things. (Plus the super cute fall clothes that I get to wear.) However, I also love winter, spring, and summer.

Who doesn't like a nice day by the ocean or a day on the lake? What about playing in the snow or watching April showers that bring May flowers? To me, it's all beautiful and fun, and we get so many months out of each year to enjoy seasonal activities so why not make the most of each one?

What about the days of the week? Who decided that Monday had to be a terrible day, or that Friday got to be an amazing day? Each day can be an amazing day if you choose for it to be.

We should all stop waiting for Friday, for summer, for someone to fall in love with us, for us to lose weight, just to enjoy life. Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it and make the most of the moment you are in now.

It would be a shame for you to wait until Friday to try that super cute hairstyle but never make it to Friday. It would be a shame for you to not wear a swimsuit to the beach because you thought you were too fat and then not be in any of the pictures from vacation. It would be a shame to refuse to take the picture because you don't have makeup on.

It would be a shame to not go enjoy the day with your family because it was a Monday and you "just aren't feeling it today." When will you be feeling it? Because you aren't promised tomorrow. It would be a shame for you to miss out on the most beautiful parts of life while waiting for "someday."

So why not live in the moment and enjoy today? Why not wake up and declare every day a good day? Life is too short to wait for someday because someday may not come. Start chasing your dreams today. Start loving your life today.

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right?
