The best four years of your life, otherwise known as college, are so great because you get to live in the same place as your closest friends. It’s a special time in life when you get this opportunity to always be with your friends while still relishing in your independence. College goes far too quickly, so it’s important to realize how good you have it before it’s over. There are numerous reasons why you will forever remember living with your best friends.
1. You Always Have Someone To Go Out With
On virtually any given day of the week, your friends are just seconds away from you. That makes it that much easier to make plans and convince one another that you should go out on a Monday night and celebrate the time you have in college properly.
2. ...And Get Brunch With The Next Morning
After a night out drinking, the best thing hangover cure is brunch. And it is definitely brunch, not breakfast because you all lay in bed exchanging stories and rehashing the night before everyone finally decides to make moves and grab some slight greasy yet very fulfilling food.
3. Late Night Taco Bell Runs
On nights that you all spend inside working on homework, there’s nothing better than piling in the car and driving to the nearest Taco Bell. Downing fast food is better with friends.
4. Binge Watch TV Shows Together
If there’s a new series that one of you is into chances are you will all become hooked. This in turn leads to constantly talking about the TV show and planning out the next time to all tune in.
5. You Always Have Someone To Talk To
Whether it’s in between classes, while making dinner, hanging around the house, or early in the am, having your friends live with you means that you can all communicate face-to-face instantly and talk about literally anything.
6. You Can Look Horrendous and it's Okay
Wearing a weird combo of comfy clothes around the house the day after a night of out or just when you don’t care enough to wear a normal outfit means zero judgment. In your house you are most comfortable. So, naturally you all are sporting whatever was easiest to find and your hair is piled in a messy bun. You’re around your friends and they most likely are dressed similarly making you all feel at home being a scrub sometimes.
7. You Might Never All Be in the Same Place Again
It makes me sad to write this, but it is true. After we all graduate this year, who knows where each of us will be located. That’s what makes this year even more special is that it is spent under the same roof as my favorite people.
Soon enough everyone will graduate, get a job, and find new living arrangements in their new cities. So, cherish the time spent having minimal responsibilities and getting to share a house with your best buds. College isn’t forever, but the friends you make will be with you for life.
