What have we become?

All Lives Matter

"Someday, I have no doubt, the dead from today's wars will be seen with a similar sense of sorrow at needless loss and folly as those millions of men who lie in the cemeteries of France and Belgium - and tens of millions of Americans will feel a similar revulsion for the politicians and generals who were so spendthrift with others' lives." - Adam Hochschild

One world. One miracle. One life. Everyone and everything on this planet has received these three things. Sometimes the world we live in now feels so much more complicated than the world we once lived in before. Think about it. There were cavemen and there were animals. After which we discovered science, art, religion. They say we evolved. "They" being the scientists, propogandists, preachers and politicians etc. But have we as humans gone so far to find out where we are going rather than looking at what we have become? First came extremeism, then came racisim, after which came cultural intolerance. Have we become so Ethnocentric with who we believe in, and where we reside that we as a race have decided to overlook what we can loose from all this fighting amongst each other? There was a time when we used to trade an item/service for another item/service ( The barter system). We found a flaw in that so we evolved into a piece of paper (Currency) that we as a race have given meaning or value, to being exchanged for those same goods and services. Yet today it seems like we have evolved to the point where it's no longer, goods for goods or cash for goods. Rather it's a life for a life. Why is it that we have now evolved our society into a supreme justice where we compare one life to another? We condone this behavior by racially dividing slurs and in some extreme cases, extreme religious beliefs. Everytime you look at the news, may it be the announcements that are being shown on the television screen or social media posts going viral, majority of the time it is about one extremist of a religion pointing fingers at another religion or extremist.

Let me make one thing very clear. No Religion Justifies Murder.

Examples being:

1. Christianity: In everything, do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12.

2. Islam : Not one of you truly believes until you wish for others what you wish for yourself. The Prophet Muhammed, Hadith.

3. Hinduisim: This is the sum of duty: Do not do to others what would cause pain if done to you. Mahabharatha 5:1517.

These are just a few examples that certain biased media reporters tend to overlook when they go on their rants about religious segregation.

I am no politician. I have no political or hidden agenda. All I am is a concerned citizen of this world that has been over run by biased thinking and selfish endeavors. Think about it, how superficial it is when one human being who posses the same heart, brain, eyes and features as another human being and still wants to claim superiority based on the location they were born. Just because your parents decided to be together in one part of the world you feel superior than someone who's parents decided to be together in another part. You are somewhere where there are resources and a better life and still want to decline someone trying to escape all the hardship they are having in their city because you are better? In God's eyes we are all equal. Isn't that what is preached all around. Then why is it that we do not treat everyone equal? Money, status, caste, religion, skin color, political standing all this differentiating rubbish, was not made by God. It was made by us humans and it is time that all this segregation stops.

ALL LIVES MATTER.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
