Buzzfeed quizzes: they are the conquerors of boredom. With nothing else to do and a friend asking me what my results were, I took the “Which Character From ‘The Office’ Are You?” quiz. I excitedly awaited my results after I answered the last question and… I got Michael Scott. I won’t lie I was a little disappointed, but he has some relatable traits. Some of those traits I see in others too: in fact, like everyone. Below are my findings.

1. Thinking about the future compared to your current situation…

“Yes. Money has been a little bit tight lately, but at the end of my life, when I'm sitting on my yacht, am I gonna be thinking about how much money I have? No. I'm gonna be thinking about how many friends I have and my children and my comedy albums.”

2. Visiting parents when you have no food…

“I was never in this for the money. But it turns out that the money was an absolute necessity for me.”

3. Watching scary movies or hearing ghost stories…

“I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.”

4. When you try to make friends…

“Do I need to be liked? Absolutely not. I like to be liked. I enjoy being liked. I have to be liked, but it's not like this compulsive need to be liked, like my need to be praised.”

5. When you’re trying to get out of something…

Michael Scott: “Wish I could, but I can't. Well, can, but won't. Should, maybe, but shorn't.”

Kevin Malone: “Michael, please...”

Michael Scott: “What part of ‘shorn't’ don't you understand, Kevin?”

6. When you see your crush…

Michael Scott: “...for Holly. And I'm looking for perfect songs that work on two levels.”

Jim Halpert: “What are the two levels?”

Michael Scott: “The two levels being, ‘Welcome to Scranton’ and ‘I love you.’”

7. Any time someone doubts you…

“Yeah, well, maybe next time you will estimate me.”

8. How you justify procrastination…

“I can spend all day on a project, and he will finish the same project in half an hour. So that should tell you something.”

9. When something goes wrong and you frantically try to fix it…

“And I knew exactly what to do. But in a much more real sense, I had no idea what to do.”

10. #RelationshipGoals…

“Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.”

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
