To anyone who doesn’t know, music is something I love, deeply. It’s there for you when you’re feeling down, when you’re feeling happy and when you’re feeling alone or just need to fill silence in a room.
Growing up, I listened to The Beatles because my dad listened to The Beatles. I fell in love with their sound and their story that made them the ever iconic group that they were and still are today.
Being able to explore the birthplace of The Beatles was a Beatles-lovers dream. The tour required everyone to carry an audio tape around with them so that they could listen to information about the band in each room of the exhibit. I thought this was a fun and intriguing exhibit because through each room, it felt like you were transported into the world of The Beatles and got to follow in their footsteps of how they started out and became who they are known for to this day.
I got to go underground to a replica of the infamous Cavern Club where the band first started and played together, as well as see some of the original instruments that some of the band members played. It was unreal.
Following their story and learning about the journey of the band was such a wonderful experience. I loved learning new facts about The Beatles that I didn’t know before. There were private photos as well of each individual of the band that I have not seen before that really gave me a glimpse into their personal life and what they were really like.
I got to visit the original Caverns Club in Liverpool as well, and can I just say it was one of the coolest thing ever! Literally walking down the alley where The Beatles once walked and seeing the building where they played shows was something I never thought I would do. I only dreamed of understanding the life of The Beatles and lived through them through their music, but actually getting to see the place where they all started is something I will never forget.
