Life can be tough, can’t it? Your job isn’t what you wanted. Your family doesn’t understand, and whenever you try to tell people how you’re feeling they sweep you and your thoughts and emotions under the rug like they do to themselves so that they don’t have to admit to themselves that they are breaking down.
It’s hard. I know.
But, you’ve got this. You hear me? You’ve got this! Things always get better right around the corner. The problem is that you have been raised in a society where we need the newest and best thing and we can never get it, because our jobs aren’t giving us enough gross pay to buy something that’ll take away the pain.
We need distractions. It’s the way our brains have been wired. Making us uninspired with no desire, and no fire to make things happen that are dire.
Try spending your times simply. Even if you do it for five minutes out of your day. It can make a huge difference. Instead of getting on the internet, go outside and have a picnic with your close family and friends. If you don’t have those, go by yourself. Treating yourself is a very interesting experience, and everyone should try it at some point. It can be scary, because we’ve been brought up to believe that we always need somebody. Having somebody is great. However, that somebody can be yourself.
Make something that you are proud of today.
No matter how big, or how small something you make is… it’s incredible. Do you know why? You crafted it with your bare hands and you had pictures in your head of what you wanted it to look like and feel like. And you made it. You started from the bottom pit of nothing and made something.
That can be a metaphor for you, if you want. Start from nothing and make something. Don’t leave this planet without having left a footprint. Make it big. Make it huge! That way, no one will ever question who you were, because your name will be whispered and screamed from countries and oceans. When people are lost at sea- they’ll think of you. When people are inventing the cure for cancer- they’ll be looking at your blueprints for the cure for AIDs. You can do so many things. If you have to be cliche about it, who cares? Cliches are beautiful. They give everyone an excuse to be sappy.
Go do it.
Now.
