Eat that piece of cake, don’t stress about that B-, look up from your phone once and a while, spend time with your family and go to that basketball game with your friends.
Yes your weight, grades, and checking social media are important but if you take a step back and think about it we should ask the question why. Why is being super skinny or getting an A+ in every class so important. Why do we need to check our Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, FaceBook, Tumblr and emails every 5 seconds? Because society says it is important, but you know what is really important, happiness, spending time with your friends and family, and helping others.
I am all for staying in shape, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be super thin, you should be whatever size makes you happy, don’t worry what other people think. And about grades in school, of course I would love to get an A+ in every class, but that is just unrealistic because we have others things going on in our life. We are involved in activities, clubs, sports, and just hanging out with friends and family. I would rather take that B or A- in a class and be able to enjoy life at the same time. Study hard but do not bury yourself in your work 24/7 so that you do not have time for your family and friends because in the grand scheme of things no one is going to remember if you got 100 on that last quiz, but they will remember the moments spent together and the memories made either going to that sporting event or volunteering together. Work hard, Be happy and live life to the fullest“Love your family. Spend time, be kind & serve one another. Make no room for regrets. Tomorrow is not promised & today is short.”
