It's the little things in life.

I Live For The Moments ...

Given all of the madness that is going on in the world today, it is easy to get caught up in the chaos and forget about the things that make the life we live so beautiful. There are so many unspoken times where I just sit there and think, "Wow, this is what I live for." Many of these moments are simple, silly things that don't seem important, but to me, these simple moments are what deserve the most recognition, yet receive the least. I would like to share a few of those moments with you to shed appreciation on some things that make me feel truly alive.

I live for the moments my family is sitting around the dinner table laughing and talking about life.

I live for the moments it is chilly outside, and I am drinking hot cocoa next to my fireplace with slippers.

I live for the moments I'm dancing with my girlfriends and in that second, thinking about how grateful I am for them.

I live for the moments I see two people in love, the kind of love where you can feel the happiness radiating from them.

I live for the moments I'm on a long car ride blaring music and singing my heart out.

I live for the moments I see God's plan, and finally recognize that even when I doubted it, everything truly did happen for a reason.

I live for the moments I eat an obscene amount of ice cream with not a care in the world about the calories.

I live for the moments I see people embracing their 'weirdness' because it inspires me to embrace mine.

I live for the moments my dad calls me just to ask how my day is.

I live for the moments an old song comes on that I forgot about and it brings up so many memories that I had back in the day.

I live for the moments I lay in bed all day, relaxing, watching youtube videos, neglecting all my responsibilities because who cares?

I live for the moments I realize how proud I am of a hard decision I had to make that turned out for the best.

I live for the moments I witness karma doing someone good.

I live for the moments that I mess up and then realize that it is OK.

I live for the moments I get excited about something little like wearing a new outfit.

I live for the moments I get to look back at pictures because I find it so cool that I get to relive whatever memory I made in the second that photo was taken.

I live for the moments someone tells me their appreciation for me when I had no clue the effect I had on them.

I live for the moments that I miss my mom, thinking how I am lucky enough to have someone I care so much about that I am affected when they are not around.

I live for the moments I catch myself getting scared of something like a little kid does because that means that I'm not that grown-up after all.

I live for the moments I see someone doing a kind act that inspires me to do better.

I live for the moments I get caught up in a passionate, deep conversation with someone.

I live for the moments I'm laughing at nothing with people that bring out the best in me.

Most importantly ... I live for the moments that make me feel alive.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
