We've all heard that saying, "It's the little things in life." Lately, I've been thinking about some of these little things in my life that just tickle me pink, and I have found this phrase to be so true. So, for this week's article, I decided to put together a panel, and I enlisted some of my close friends to help me. I asked them all the same question: What are five of the little things in life that make you happy? Then, I compiled their answers for you to read. Do you have anything in common with my friends and me?

Jessica D. said five of her favorite little things in life are hearing the rain hit the roof, riding in the car with the music loud and the windows down (really, this is the best), making someone laugh out loud, a good kiss and eating a big meal after swimming all day. These are all things I can definitely get behind, especially good kisses. You can't go wrong with those.

Zach L. told me he really loves coaching his middle school boys' football team and anime. He also loves hanging out with his friends and family, a great story and sports of any kind. You guys should know that Zach is a great story teller, and he's always got a new one to tell when we get together!

Chloe A. said she love sunsets, spontaneous dance parties (HECK YEAH), quiet times of contentment, puppies and adventures with friends. She told me anything is an adventure, and it's true that you can make an adventure out of any situation!

Ryan L. said, "I've got a lot of 'em." I enforced the limit at five, so you guys wouldn't be stuck on this article all day. He said he likes "you guys" (meaning Zach and me, but I suppose he likes other people, too). He likes food, seeing a finished product he helped create, waking up in the morning and realizing he can sleep for five more minutes, making a stranger smile and the sound of a child's laugh. Anyway, here's a picture of Zach and me to illustrate his point!

Brandon B. said he likes seeing his friends accomplish the goals they've set for themselves, listening to music while studying outside, seeing athletes giving back to local youth, seeing someone accomplish a good deed for someone else without that person noticing, and of course, Chip and Joanna Gaines.

Kate P. really loves the first sip of coffee in the morning, a good song and seeing people genuinely laugh until they cry. She jokingly told me that was all, but she hasn't replied, so I guess that really is all she's going to tell me. I suppose I can speak for her and say she likes cannoli and Brandon B., too, considering that's her favorite dessert, and Brandon B. is her fiance.

Spencer H. says he loves fresh sheets on the bed (who doesn't?), watching summer rain come in, coffee, a hilarious joke (even if others don't find it as funny) and seeing something he planted grow and thrive.

As for me, I love cuddling, good solid hugs (not those awkward halfway hugs), seeing the stars light up the night sky, finding a new and delicious recipe and thunderstorms.

I hope in the coming days you find joy in the simple things in life, and I hope you're able to share them with your friends and family.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Here's a personal archive of a few of the things I learned after going away for the first time.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
