Just a little something to remind you that there is still good in the world.

Putting a smile on your face with this listicle.

Just a little something to remind you that there is still good in the world.

With all the bad that's going on in the world right now, I think we could all use something that could make us smile, so here are some little things to make your day a little brighter and happier.

1. Kitten live streams

Is there anything sweeter than listening to a kitten purr? With youtube and the technology behind live-streaming there are a lot of animal rescue organizations that provide hours of kitty entertainment online, and some of these live streams even allow you to go back up to four hours if nothing is happening right then. Here are some of my purrsonal favorites (I had to make the pun it was right there!).

2. Puppy Live Streams

So maybe you're not a cat person, surely then puppies doing what puppies do (being cute) can bring a smile to your face. Youtube has plenty of puppy live streams where you can even find specific breeds like great danes! We all deserve a little pup to cheer us up.

3.The actor Kal Penn received an incredibly racist comment about how the actor didn't belong in the U.S. due to his skin color. In turn Penn launched a fundraiser in that commenter's honor. The money raised would all go to helping Syrian refugees. The fundraiser earned over $650,000 and still counting. Some have even donated in the name of people like Steve Bannon with Penn tweeting about the success all the while. Here's a post on tumblr about it all.

4. This post from Tumblr about what things would have been like if the founding fathers had lived in the current era with all the technology including google docs. It should give you a couple of giggles, at least if you're a history fan.

5. Every week on twitter #WednesdayWisdom and #MondayMotivation trend along with #TuesdayThoughts with encouraging quotes, motivation, and support in almost every tweet. Since the internet can often be used to make people feel poorly about themselves or about the world around them it's nice to see the internet be used to make people feel good or say something nice to others.

6. For all of us comic book and superhero fans in 2018 Marvel is bringing Cloak & Dagger to Freeform. In the upcoming series Cloak and Dagger are a pair of teenagers from different sides of the track who's lives seem to be forever intertwined also somehow have superpowers. Olivia Holt will play Dagger with Aubrey Joesph playing Cloak, which is kinda awesome if you ask me. While the series appears to have some dark themes coming up, hopefully they will also focus on the bond and camaraderie shared between the pair as it's been shown in the comics and in other shows. Check out the trailer below.

7. The GoodNewsNetwork brings some much needed good news to us when everything in the world just seems to be bad news and more bad news. Stories such as "Woman Loses 40 pounds so She Can Donate Kidney to Facebook Friend" and "Blind Boy Receives Heartwarming Response in Braille from Nintendo" make you remember that there are good people out there and that there is still hope for humanity and for our future. Link to the website will be in the space below.

8. There is a new season of Steven Universe currently being shown on Cartoon Network with a huge special featuring Steven, Lars, and Yellow Diamond & Blue Diamond and there is a huge possibility that Steven and Lars will fuse during the hour long episode meaning that Lars truly sees Steven as a friend and not the annoying little brother he's always pretended to see Steven as. Take a look at the trailer.

9. For Disney fans and Hamilton fans the music video for "You're Welcome" from Moana features the vocal talents of Jordan Fisher from Teen Beach Movie and Lin-Manuel Miranda of the patriotic hip hop musical hit Hamilton. The combination of the pair's vocals and the already fun lyrics from the song makes the music video a delightful watch.

10. If everything else here hasn't found a way to make you smile how about some fun desserts to make and eat any given day. It doesn't necessarily have to be your cheat day when you enjoy these tasty treats just because the buzzfeed tag says so. If you're adventurous try your hand at making Cookies and Creme Brûlée or Chocolate Strawberry Creampuffs. Not ready to risk a culinary disaster how about 4 easy 3 ingredient no bake desserts like homemade peanut butter cups, strawberry icebox cake, rice krispy treats, or cookies and creme pie. The recipes and videos will be below along with the link to the full list of delicious delights to enjoy and make.

I hope you all get a smile out of this list or at least one of the items on this list. If there is anything else that makes you happy that you think might also make somebody else's day why not share it down below in the comments so that more people can enjoy it or if there is a friend or family member that could use a little pick me up try sharing this article with them. Some last little advice before you leave: Look for happiness and kindness in your everyday life, look for the good and it will be easy to find, you can be happy and you will be.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

mu bucket list

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…
