Finding your happiness is what will make your life a life you love to live. Many of us struggle with finding the things that truly make us happy, without bias and opinions from others. Everyone has there own customized idea of happiness, because without that everyone would be happy over the same things. But happiness should be natural, and real, not categorized and materialized.
Happiness can be corrupted. You learn a lot about a person when you hear about what makes them happy. You question why it is they are motivated by certain things to make them happy. You wonder why they push away what should be loved, and fill their lives with materials and money to give them pride.
Society has evolved into this type of "happy". Our generation especially is happier getting a snap chat from their crush, then sitting at a family dinner catching up on the day. Kids are happier with a new phone, instead of a letter. Families are becoming more distant, and relationships are becoming more dependent on what the media tells us what love should be.
We have to be careful during this day and age with technology growing so rapidly. Move with it, but don't let it consume who you are.
A little advice from me to you about not losing your happiness...
Remember when you were little and didn't have a care in the world. When you were happy finding a cool rock on the beach or finally having your parents let you go to the beach by yourself with friends. Happiness comes from little things. Happiness comes from face to face interactions, and getting to understand people's backgrounds instead of their amount of followers on social media.
We are the generation that has everyone telling us what to do. Instead of not listening, do something about it. I'm not telling you to shut off your phones for a week, or not buy things, but instead to think. Think about taking a step back from your phone, or Netflix, and being happy with real people and real things.
We are losing the true meaning of happiness. We are filling our lives with buffers and things that don't add value to ourselves. We are cruising through life, and leaving a pretty big carbon footprint behind. These are the years we use to help shape our future's, our relationships, and our goals.
Find that true sense of happiness, like when you were a little kid. True happiness is easier to find than you make think. Do the things you love. Do things that you are proud of.
Don't forget you can't do this thing called life alone.
