As finals week comes around the mood on campus shifts. Summer is within reach and somehow your 50 minute lecture feels like a 50 year lecture. The weather is finally looking like Spring and all anyone wants to do is sit on their picnic blankets or set us their hammocks. In these last few weeks of the semester stress is at an all time high and it can be easy to forget that we do, in fact, love college.

When I'm trapped in the library under a stack of textbooks and review sheets, I have to remind myself why I'm here (other than the fact that I love what I'm studying) in order to push through. So take a moment and imagine the little moments in your day that make it all worth it.

For me, one of my favorite parts of the day is walking to my first class. I know, why on Earth would I want to go to my morning classes?? But tomorrow, look up from your Spotify queue and take it all in. You have a brand new day ahead of you. You have dozens of opportunities, look around and find them. Remember, it's always a great day to have a great day.

Another go-to highlight in anyone's day is lunch. Getting to sit down with my friends and pause the craziness of school is refreshing and it keeps me sane. Now that the weather is getting warmer, everyone is flocking to the outside tables and umbrellas and it feels like a scene in a cheesy movie.

While starting the day is great, there's nothing quite like going home to your dorm after a long day. I love my roommates, so getting to go home and talk to them about our days always puts a smile on my face, no matter how many finals I have to study for, we always take the time to tell each other about our days and what's new. (I don't know what I'm going to do without them next year).

The feeling we are all looking forward to the most is the indescribable sense of relief that comes around when you hand in the final or last assignment in a class. Knowing that you've put in the work and given it your all is so rewarding, especially when your grade reflects your efforts. Summer is coming and soon we'll all be relaxing with our friends from home for just long enough that we'll start to miss it and be ready for another year by the time August rolls around.

This year has been full of these little moments. From my first week of classes to my last, I have experienced countless lunches, late nights, deep talks, laughs, and all of the other moments that define my time outside of the lecture hall. These little moments have helped me get through immeasurable stress and anxiety, and I can't wait to see what next semester has in store.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
