Your Little Brother Is Your Biggest Blessing

When you have a little brother, life can be a unique and difficult, but rewarding, experience.

Having a younger brother can seem like a giant pain. You have to be his role model, take him places, and look after him. Arguments break out constantly and he almost never listens. If you can look past all of that, you can see the many things a little brother does for you. You recognize that he is your biggest blessing of all.

1. He Idolizes You

You will never find someone who looks up to you the way a little brother does. From a young age, he sees you and everything you’re doing, and he wants to be just like you. You become a role model, whether you want to be one or not. My brother did not want to get contacts until I got them, but then the next day he was trying them out, just like me. A value can’t be found in any other relationship. It’s unique and creates a lifelong bond.

2. He’s Your Partner In Crime

When my brother and I were younger, we did everything together. We played dress up, dolls, and race cars. Our favorite activity was running around the living room with blankets tied around our necks as we pretended to be superheroes. We watched movies and shows together and played games at the park. A little brother is a built-in best friend that you’ll always have.

3. He'll Always Need You

A little brother is the one person in your life that will always need you no matter what. He’ll need you when he’s younger to help him navigate life. He’ll need girl advice, help with choosing classes for school, and eventually, help to pick a college. You’re his rock during all of these unfamiliar times in life and help him get through everything.

4. He Teaches You How to Be Responsible

Whether you want to or not, having a little brother forces you to be responsible. Being older makes you feel accountable for him in certain situations. I know in high school especially, I tried to keep an eye on my brother and make sure he was safe. As a role model, I should be watching over him and taking care of him. It’s a feeling of responsibility that you don’t have with anyone else.

5. He’s Your Best Friend

Through all the ups and downs in your relationship, you will always be there for each other. He’s there on bad days and good days and whenever you need him. My little brother gives me support sometimes, even though I’m older. He’s my best friend and my biggest blessing, and I wouldn’t trade him for the world.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
