During these unprecedented times, The Bachelor franchise has delivered. Last Monday, April 13, The Bachelor premiered its latest spinoff, The Bachelor Presents: Listen to your Heart. Though no one seemed excited about the new show, with everyone now being couped up in their houses, it seems to just what people need right about now. The show seems to copy the structure of their other spinoff, Bachelor in Paradise. Except there is no beach and all the contestants are new faces to Bachelor Nation. During the premiere on Monday, 14 men and 8 women began their journey to seek fame to a love rooted in music. After watching the first episode we are not quite sure what the rest of the season will look like but we can say it will be dramatic, to say the least. Half of the fun of watching these shows is making fun of the contestants...right? Well, it seems like the production notices that and purposely plays into it. I went ahead and compiled a list of six different times during the premiere the editing gave us that *chef's kiss* perfect moment.
#1 The focus on Sheridan approaching during Julia and Josh'sone-on-one

Not only does the camera show Sheridan coming, the camera literally focuses on him. The perfectly eerie shot of Sheridan creeping on Julia and Josh over their shoulder almost looks like something you would see in a horror movie if you ask me.
#2 The boys comforting Matt after Rudi told him off
Kristen DeLoatche/Giphy.com
After watching Rudi rip Matt a new one, it was clear there was some miscommunication between the two. Matt walks away from their conversation defeated and confused and the audience lives vicariously as Danny and Russell hilariously comfort Matt.
#3 The zoom in on Jamie as she tried to hold in her laughter
Kristen DeLoatche/Giphy.com
During the cocktail party, Trevor pulls Jamie aside to convince her to give him her rose swoon her with music. While one would expect being serenaded by a handsome individual would be all butterflies and rainbows, the camera's focus on Jamie shows how uncomfortable that moment can actually be. Not sure that is how Trevor expected that moment to go, but that reaction was just too noteworthy to leave off my list.
#4 Ryan's sweet words about Jamie while she makes out with Trevor in the hot tub
Kristen DeLoatche/Giphy.com
If Ryan did not win over your heart, you need to go rewatch the episode because you must have had your eyes closed. You cannot help but root for this sweetheart so it was almost heart-shattering for them to have him talk so beautifully about Jamie and their relationship then cut to Jamie having an intense make-out session Trevor in the hot tub.
#5 The cut to Michael Todd after the "douchebag" line
Kristen DeLoatche/Giphy.com
I mean I do not think there was a better way for them to introduce his character, and boy did he live up to that quote. Honestly, if Michael Todd, his lines, and his beatboxing did not make you uncomfortable then you may be a psychopath. Sorry, I don't make the rules.
#6 The cuts to Trevor drinking while Jamie and Ryan are kissing on their date
Kristen DeLoatche/Giphy.com
They cut to Trevor multiple times while Jamie and Ryan enjoy their date and he drinks his sorrows back at the mansion all alone. However, the icing on the cake for that scene may be having their romantic rendition of John Mayer's "Gravity" they recorded playing in the background.
Host Chris Harrison may work hard, but the production crew clearly works harder. Tune in Monday at 7 p.m. to watch the next episode of this 6-week musical journey unfold. Watch and see if the editing stands out to you any more than usual.
