Listen to my father: a 45 year old-10 year sober- ex drug addict man who has more wisdom than anyone I know. He has some nice advice from his experience.
1) How old were you when you started taking drugs?
14, 15, 16
2) What drugs did you use most frequently?
Marijuanna and methamphetamine
3) Did you use drugs when you were raising a child?
Yes
4) What is your opinion on people who say cocaine is okay?
It's not. It's an addictive drug.
5) What is your current stance on marijuana and why?
I'm a firm believer in the legalization of marijuanna for medical purposes and for recreational use, because the statistics show that marijuanna is less harmful than alcohol.
6) What is the hardest part about staying sober?
I don't find it hard to stay sober anymore. The people you hang around was the hardest, because they did it too.
7) What is the easiest part about being sober?
It's not easy being sober.
8) Why are you sober?
Because I like money more than I like dope.
9) Do you have any advice for people who need help?
Yeah, get help from friends, family, community resources.
10) In your opinion, did doing drugs make you into the man you are today, and why?
It was one of the contributing factors but they didn't make me into the man I am today. They showed me a place I know now that I don't want to be.
In conclusion: drugs are bad, my dad is always right, and I think he has a lot of important advice for young adults.
