listen little love,
The world is larger than anything we know.
People say there's no way to be privy to it all,
but I know they are not all right. I've seen the edge
of the world where it begins and ends.
When you kicked about, I knew my first earthquake.
I stayed awake waiting for you in constant dreams.
The baby in the center of the world would be just like me.
You'd be half moon and half sun. Half male, half female.
Just like me, you would be mother and father.
When you cracked open and yolk poured forth I held you.
Cradled you in my hands, you spill out over my arms to this day.

People will always break you. They'll bump you,
Beat you, scratch you, cuff you, and tarnish your existence.
When they do so, I will pour gold inside your cracked skin.
I will stitch you where they caused rips and rifts.
If need be, I will press flowers into your bruises
That way no one will pity what makes you strong.
Do not worry if it's too much. I will take first watch.
I will set the path and regulate the streets for us both.
There is so much to fear, but the paths I make will not be one of those.

So many say, they love their siblings.
So many say, they know exactly how deep those connections run.
But mine does not run. Mine deepens and grows wild around you.
They tell me, I am unorthodox and obsessive in my cause.
I say they do not know how to love proper and right,
Or that maybe, just maybe, their siblings are not mine.
You my love, are so much grander than every being on this planet.
There's something divine in how you speak, gesture, and exist.
Do not listen to those fools. They do not know how to love.
They did not watch the storms thrash about which created
The calm and crisp atmosphere that broke through the first time you breathed.
