Wonderlist

Any fantasy fan you come across is going to have at least one favorite creature that is totally out of this world. It comes with the territory of such a beautiful genre. Fantasy has always been my personal favorite. There are so many possibilities and just about anything becomes real - at least in our mind. It is fantastical and brilliant. It brings joy to so many, young and old, which we can’t help but eat it up. From "The Lord of the Rings" to "Harry Potter," we have an abundant selection of worlds to escape into.

One of my favorite things about the fantasy genre is the creatures. There is an infinite list of such wondrous creatures but here are just a few of my top favorites for you:

1. The Dragon

These fearsome beasts come in many different shapes and sizes. That’s one of the things that make these creatures so enjoyable. They can be anything you want them to be - small, enormous, purple, or black smoke. They can be friendly or terrifying monsters that destroy everything in their path. Anything is possible with dragons and that is one of the reasons you have to love them.

2. The Fairy

These spritely creatures also come in many different shapes and sizes. Usually, however, they are small and human-like with magical abilities, mostly dwelling in forests. It is what makes them so likeable, especially for children. Fairies bring whimsy and joy to everyone who reads or watches them.

3. The Mermaid

This fishy creature can be friend or foe. It is one of the more interesting things about them. The friendly sort brings joy and wonder to many people, especially young girls with a love for the water. The evil sort, on the other hand, brings death and destruction, adding to their mystery and intrigue.

4. The Pegasus

This exquisite animal is usually always friendly. As a horse with wings, it is breathtakingly beautiful. It brings wonder and awe to everyone who reads about them, making it such a great mythical creature.

5. The Vampire

These interesting beings can be good and bad. They can also come in many different shapes and sizes- with some lore allowing them to shapeshift into a bat. They also have many other interesting features such as fangs, the ability to walk on walls, and the fact that they are undead. Such beings bring about intrigue, fear, and even love (thanks to some of our romanticized fantasies).

6. The Werewolf

These furry beasts come in different shapes and sizes, as well. Usually dog-like in appearance, they come out during the full moon and wreak havoc on anyone or anything in their path. These creatures have also been romanticized in some stories. However, that hasn’t hindered their intrigue as they bring about fear and mystery to many who read or watch them.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
