Lisa Frank Memes Every Girl Should Still Live By

How can we forget those crazy, colorful and aggressively positive memes floating around during the late 90s? It was all over the Internet, found in forms of stickers, backpacks, folders, school supplies, clothing, and so much more. These Lisa Frank memes gave young girls a cute saying to live by in their early elementary, middle school years, but looking back now, they are a lot more than that.

As a young girl, I wanted Lisa Frank everything simply because of the bright neon colors that stood out everywhere. I thought the animals were adorable, and they had a special little meme for every holiday too. I never really looked deep into the meanings behind some of these memes. They may be aggressive for a young child’s icon, however they have these meanings behind them that can truly teach life lessons.

Lisa Deborah Frank is an American businesswoman also founded Lisa Frank Incorporated she started when she was only twenty-four years old. She started this idea of neon school supplies to target young girls, using these bright colors, friendly quotes and animals such as unicorns, puppies, kittens, dolphins and more. She started this interesting enterprise in college at the University of Arizona; she pitched the idea to her parents who were not for supporting this crazy idea until people absolutely loved it. She just goes to show that following your passions can take you oh so far.

Lisa Frank and her aggressive but also positive feminist memes have been confidence boosters in young girls and so much more. Not only do they get to enjoy the colors and the cute animals but also they know to “Be the reason someone smiles today” and “Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful” and it also extremely important to remember this now. She gives young girls ideas that they are important and to not let people tell them otherwise. When we bought these items we never looked at it this way, however they have so much meaning behind them.

These memes also remind us to love all mankind. She sends a message to treat people and animals with respect because every living thing deserves love. Incorporating animals in all the stickers and pictures is important because with grew up giving them the love that they deserve. They can create a bond with animals that is also very important and will stick with them for most of their lives.

Most people do not quite think about the reasoning behind Frank’s ideas and thoughts but she took her passion into so much more than just business, money, and power. She had a dream for young children, especially girls to expand their creativity and imagination and at the same time it is important to remember to love and be kind to others. It just makes it so much better that they get to rock adorable funky school attire and apparel. The artists get to share their passions with the world while kids get to enjoy it with some fun.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
