Dear Little Sister

Dear little sister,

I wish you were able to see just a glimpse of the way the I look at you. You keep growing up and constantly amazing me. I have watched you change and go through things that no 16-year-old should. But no matter what life throws at you, you take them and roll with it. Even if it means rolling up in your blankets like a burrito to nap.

Dear little sister, I love who you have turned me into. Life would have been a whole lot different without you. I would have nobody to pick on. I would have no one to drive me crazy. I would have no one to steal my cardigan that I needed for an interview. And as much as I wanna kick your rear end sometimes, I still put up with you gladly. With you, I have someone to rap within the car. With you, I have someone to watch Grey's Anatomy with. With you, I have someone to show me how to "properly" fill in my brows. With you, I have a best friend.

Dear little sister, I love how capable you are of love. Even at 16, you are able to have such love for things so beyond your age. You are strongly passionate, and I am so proud of you for that. You have a beautiful relationship that surpasses every single one that I've had. You can get jealous at times, but it just shows your dedication to what you have. You love animals more than humans. You happy cry at baby elephants, then sob when Sarah McLachlan comes on TV with those sad puppies. But that's all of us. "In the arms of an angel..."

Dear little sister, I love how you smile. Usually it's at the most random things. You have this particular smile when you take selfies. It's cute, but it's just for show. Your real smile comes out when I tickle you. Or when your boyfriend calls you beautiful. Or especially when I bring you Starbucks after school for no good reason. But seeing that little grin on your face always reminds me how magnificent of a person you are.

Dear little sister, I love your attitude. You are full of sass, and it's beautiful. It's a huge part of who you are. That little firecracker in you has a repeat explosion. Never burning out. You are in no way afraid to speak your mind, and that is such a valuable quality in the world today. You put your opinion out there and don't care who knows. Even if things don't go your way, you still make the best of it.

Dear little sister, I love that you are my person. During my darkest days, you were by my side. You didn't even know you were most of the time. You are the person I go to about everything. You are the person that makes my days better. You are the person I will have standing beside me when I eventually tie the knot And until the day the world stops, you will always be my little sister.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
