For some the rapper speaks volumes, for others the satanic references are no joke.

I Don't Rock With Lil Uzi Vert Because Of His Satanic References And Cult-Centered Album Art

In This Article:

It is no secret that Lil Uzi Vert is an outspoken artist on his beliefs. Much of his music deals with heavier issues like suicide, depression, love and death. Lil Uzi is actually one of the most successful rappers of the late 2010's thus far, and it looks as if that will continue to be the case.

Lil Uzi Vert also has millions of people that listen to his music, but I am not one of them. I catch a lot of flack from my friends for saying he's not that good or that I don't like his music, but there's never the follow-up of why I don't rock with Lil Uzi Vert.

While I don't hate on others that listen to his music I myself can't get behind his message because of the satanic references and cult-referenced album art.

Besides that, Lil Uzi also recentlytold all of his fans that they'd be going to hell with him in a monologue before one of his concerts. Whether the intention of the statement was figurative, or literal, telling your fans that they're going to perish and suffer for listening to your music isn't something I'm all that interested in. If you want to listen to the monologue I've linked it in the text above.

Lil Uzi has also mentioned that he intends to join the "27 Club" in a 2016 interview with Nardwuar he referenced joining the 27 Club for Marilyn Manson, The Pale King, which Uzi also has a chain of. Lil Uzi Vert has referenced the 27 Club multiple times saying he will give himself to Marilyn Manson once he has reached the age. Of course, this is just coincidental that on the list of artists that have made it to the 27 club all of them have died as well (Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones, Jim Morrison).

One thing fascinating about this country is that you can say just about anything you want, inflammatory or not, and you can gain serious notoriety for it. However, for me, the final piece of the puzzle that sealed the deal for me to not listen to Uzi was his recent decision to make his new Album art cover a spinoff of the "Heaven's Gate" Cult Logo. Don't believe me? Here's a comparison between the two logos.

The Heaven's Gate cult tragically lured in several people to kill themselves in an effort to legitimize a psychopath that ran the organization in Los Angeles. I can't get behind the idea of someone using a Cult's logo to promote any kind of message. To myself, it's plain and simple that Lil Uzi has no concern for avoiding the satanic rhetoric anytime soon, and for myself, I just can't rock with that. It doesn't matter what you do or do not believe in (religiously speaking here). If you share a message of negativity, death, and bad energy that is what you will attract.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
