Imagine going into a courtroom every day, for seven weeks, staring at the same faces of 24 different DMV pictures of men whom may have committed murder to someone's loved one.
Imagine sitting across from four men Monday through Friday for four hours a day; deciding, analyzing their fates.
It's like your sitting in live action of a lifetime movie. The director is the judge keeping order in the courtroom, the prosecutors being the producer, providing evidence to the jurors whom are the extras. The defense team being the supervisors, ensuring that everyone plays their parts accordingly. And, finally the marshals being security for everyone's safety. Literally in real life and in this lifetime movie I'm creating.
Oh, and let's not forget the defendants playing the leading roles. It's a movie happening in real life, right before your eyes.
It's exciting to know you were the “lucky" pick. It's scary knowing these defendants in addition to their friends and family—who come and sits
in the audience to show support—now know your face and can pin point you out of a line-up.
It's agonizing knowing you will ultimately determine someone, or in this case four men's final destinies. To be or not to be is the question. It's not a question of if they are innocent or not, clearly they committed some type of crime. It's a matter of rather they are guilty or not guilty.
Numerous of witnesses testified against the defense. Plenty of evidence to show what the prosecutors predicted went down. However, the decision cannot be determined until all evidence has been presented. And, now you have to give a verdict. To be or not to be, that is the question pondering on everyone's thoughts.
During side bar conversations with the attorneys and the judge creates an outlet for more observations. Who's currently in the courtroom? Who's constantly there in the audience?
Eyes roaming, voices whispering, nerves so bad you can hear their heartbeats. Pulses racing, mind blanking, fingers tapping as pens are dancing on papers as everyone quickly jot down notes to remember.
You've got the “ride or die" chick now switching lanes and snitching because the government is now boxing her in. With no other options she surrenders and now may be spending the rest of her life behind bars. All because she was standing behind a man whom she was riding for until the day he died. And, now she's dying inside because she won't be there to see her baby girl turn into a big girl and then transition into a grown girl.
Simply because she wanted to be down for her man, even while he's six feet down in the ground. With nothing else to give, but she decided to and gave it all up because she wanted revenge.
Digital footprints or digital evidence being left all over the world wide web for the government to see. Once it's out there, there is no taking it back, even if you think you've removed it for the whole world not to see. They got eyes in the skies; big brother is watching you, so be careful what you do.
