Will we ever find our answers?

Unanswered Questions

Every day, we ask questions, and we get answers. But what about the ones that are impossible to answer? The ones we don't normally think about every day, but once they're brought about, there is no ending point—no definite or known answer. With these kinds of questions, we somehow just have to deal with the fact that there is no real answer to them.

1. Do fish sleep?

2. Why do people say heads up when you should duck?

3. How did one even come up with numbers, days, months, the alphabet...?

4. Who or what really created the universe?

5. Are there other universes out there?

6. If water spins clockwise when it drains in the northern hemisphere, and water spins counterclockwise when it drains in the southern hemisphere...which way does it spin at the equator?

7. Why is the abbreviation for pound "lb." when neither l or b is in the word pound?

8. Why is it we have the weight of the world on our shoulders, but have to get it off our chests?

9. If it's zero degrees outside today and it's supposed to be twice as cold tomorrow, how cold is it going to be?

10. Do we control our own fate, or is it predestined for us?

11. Does everything really happen for a reason?

12. Is God real?

13. What ever happened to an E grade?

We have A, B, C, D, and F, but no E.

14. Why are they called goosebumps? What do geese get?

15. Who was the person that decided to just start drinking from a cow?

16. Which came first—the chicken or the egg?

17. How does one create color? How do the color pigments form?

18. If you try to fail and succeed, what did you just do?

19. If all cars arrive at the same exact time at a four-way stop sign, who goes first?

20. Are zebras black with white stripes, or white with black stripes?

21. If you're in hell, and are mad at someone, where do you tell them to go?

22. If a chronic liar tells you he is a chronic liar, do you believe him?

23. Why is a #2 pencil the most popular pencil to use?

24. How do we hear our thoughts?

25. If you're doing nothing, aren't you still doing something?

Now, some of these are definitely debatable and based on beliefs, but for the most part, are there really certain answers for any of these questions? Maybe we'll never know...

One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.
