Life's too short not to seize every minute of it. We have a limited time to live, so we might as well do it right. We live day to day in familiar routines and almost every one of us takes each day for granted. The scary thing is that we have no idea when our last day could come. That's the thing about life; it really is short, and we should be living each day as if it is our last (no matter how cliche that sounds). Here are 42 ways to seize each day.

1. Listen to your favorite song.

2. Roll the windows down and turn the music up for each car ride.

3. Read. Read a book or a magazine, just read.

4. Tell the people you love that you love them.

5. Smile at strangers.

6. Give until you can't and then give some more.

7. Sit in the sun, or dance in the rain.

8. Cuddle with your pet (or a stranger's).

9. Eat your favorite food.

10. Sit back and really enjoy each bite of food.

11. Go on a walk or ride a bike.

12. Take a second to enjoy nature and its beauty.

13. Clean your home (it sucks, but you'll feel great when you're done).

14. Watch a good tv show or movie.

15. Watch the sunrise or sunset.

16. Do at least one thing you've never done.

17. Take risks and jump out of your comfort zone.

18. Do something that makes you laugh.

19. Be kind and caring towards others.

20. Try cooling off when you're angry before getting into a heated argument.

21. Learn a new word and try using it throughout the day.

22. Spend an hour doing something you love.

23. Workout. The endorphins are amazing.

24. Be selfish when it comes to making others happy.

25. Be kind and smile, see how quickly that behavior spreads.

26. Stop comparing yourself to others.

27. Sing in the shower.

28. Scream...scream until you can't anymore.

29. Have a purpose.

30. Write handwritten notes and give them to people.

31. Observe the sky.

32. Ask for advice and really listen.

33. Volunteer.

34. Reach out to people you care about.

35. Spend a few hours alone.

36. Have a conversation with a child.

37. Have time set to put down the electronics.

38. Wear your favorite outfit.

39. Work at giving up a bad habit.

40. Be spontaneous.

41. Surround yourself with like-minded people and have good conversations.

42. Start working towards a big goal.

You never know when there might not be a tomorrow, so the time is now.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
