Being an RA is quite a rewarding job! I love it, in fact! But I also very much enjoy when a song from a musical comes to mind in some... well... interesting situations!

1. First 3 weeks of school be like...

Song lyric: "Getting to know you, getting to know all about you"

Musical: the King and I

2. Working in the Freshmen girls' dorm... You can imagine!

Song lyric: "Little girls, little girls, everywhere I turn..."

Musical: Annie

3. You look at me like I'm insane when I tell you, "Just snake your drain, it's super easy and much easier than waiting for maintenance to unclog your shower."

Song lyric: "Mother isn't here now..."

Musical: Into the Woods

4. When you come to my room past 12:00 because you got locked out AGAIN!

Song lyric: "So long, farewell!"

5. When some residents just don't understand the concept of Quiet Hours!

6. When I forget to hand out toilet paper, I sure hope y'all sing this song!

7. When I overhear people complaining about living on the 3rd floor with no elevator.

8. When girls be missing their boyfriends that go to other schools.

11. I promise I'm just another college student like you! But sometimes you intimidate me a bit... So when I awkwardly stumble over my words, it's all good! I promise I'm not that weird.

12. After being so intimidated of you all year, I finally try to talk to you 1-on-1 and it goes great!

13. When they're serving good food in the dining hall.

15. Or just your thoughts about life in general.

We all have that "I don't care" attitude.

1. Most students just take life day by day.

2. That means procrastinating, one day at a time.

3. College students don't mind dressing like crap sometimes.

4. In fact, dressing nice feels weird.

5. College students get so stressed that they contemplate dropping on a daily basis.

6. But most find another solution to deal with that stress.

7. And that solution can be pretty cheap. Anything over $5 is expensive.

8. One of the only things college students will spend money on is coffee.

9. College is just really expensive and you never forget how expensive it is.

10. But hey, we're getting a somewhat high-quality education, right?

11. We all really just want to pet dogs all day.

12. And eat pizza for every meal.

13. And stab the next person who asks us what we want to do with our life.

14. However, despite the stress and student loans, college is amazing and there's plenty of reasons to smile.

1. Drink lots of tea with honey.

2. Get a good amount of rest.

3. Make an appointment with the health center or at a doctor's office.

4. Stock up on soup and crackers.

5. If you are able to, go home.
