Life Of A College Student As Told By The Grinch

It's easy to watch How The Grinch Stole Christmas and only recognize its humor in a Christmas fashion. Some people overlook the day-to-day jokes and applications the movie presents. It's almost uncanny how much the Grinch himself is just like your everyday college student. Though he may be green, smell like feet, and hate Christmas, the Grinch parallels each of us in one way or another. Here are a few things we all have in common.

We have a hard time deciding what to wear.

And when we can't find the right outfit, we contemplate whether or not it's even worth going.

After a long day, we look forward to laying in bed.

We eat when we're bored...

And we make plans with ourselves when all of our friends bail.

We enjoy our alone time...

But also need company every once in a while.

Sometimes we need a timeout...

Because we get frustrated and want to bang our head off a wall.

Things could be going swimmingly, yet we still feel the need to freak out about something.

It's so frustrating when everyone else is in a good mood and we are in a bad one...

We hate being spoken to when we're grumpy (or hungover).

We inconveniently always see the people we loathe walking around campus.

We feel sorry for ourselves far too often.

But we also have those moments where we think we can save the world.

We miss and love our dogs far too much.

Deadlines never seem to be given soon enough.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
