The Life Of A College Student As Told By Michael Scott

Michael Scott deserves all the Dundie awards for being the most relatable to us college students. Through the ups and downs of being in school, we understand his feelings all too well. Here are some examples of what it feels like to be a college student, as told by none other than our favorite Dunder Mifflin boss.

1. When you see your friends for the first time after summer break

After a long summer, this is most likely how you will feel seeing your best friends again for the first time in months. (Plus some tears of joy.)

2. Syllabus week...

Ahhh... what a time. The excitement of being back at school is setting in. Until reality begins and your workload hits you like a ton of bricks.

3. ...And finals week

Papers, group projects and hours in the library. Let's not even talk about it.

4. Listening to your friends talk about the night before when you decided to stay in

About the time when you start to regret not going out after hearing some crazy stories you wish you witnessed.

5. When you have endless amounts of work

His face says it all. So much stress and frustration. It seems as though it'll never end. Nothing beats hard work and great end results, though. It'll be worth after it's all said and done.

6. But decide to watch Netflix instead

No regrets... well, maybe some. Procrastination is at a high when the next season of your favorite show is calling your name.

7. Trying to finish a paper at ungodly hours

Droopy eyes and four cups of coffee later, I'm becoming delusional and wondering if this is actually going to get done before I fall asleep on the table in front of me.

8. When there's a presentation dress code

No explanation needed.

9. Sitting in your professor's office hours like

Please help me.

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Yes, it IS a sport. Yes, I fall all the time. No, I do not ride in jeans with a cowgirl hat on.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.
