Life Of A College Student As Told By 'Friends'

"Friends" is the classic TV show you lay on your couch for hours and binge-watch on Netflix. Since we all have watched hundreds of episodes, we can appreciate the show for what it is worth. Not only have we fallen in love with the cast of the show, but we have also had times where we catch ourselves saying, "Wow, I can totally relate."

Here are ten ways in which every college student can relate to "Friends."

1. Home-Cooked Meals

When you go home after eating college food for such a long time. Sorry stomach, we just love mom’s cooking too much.

2. Impossible Exam Questions

When you overthink a question on an exam because you just expect every question to be extremely difficult to the point where you don’t even know why you studied.

3. Being a Good Friend

When you have to break the bad news to your friend that she/he has officially been placed in the friend zone. What a rough time.

4. The Real World

We have all heard multiple people tell us the same thing. From professors, our parents, to students just out of college. No wonder why we struggle with the thought of graduating and being real adults. Apparently, life outside college is dreadfully awful.

5. Greek Life

What people think you say when you tell them you want to join Greek life. How misinformed and uneducated they are.

6. Finals Week

When finals week has you stressed out and you feel like you are losing your mind, you might actually be losing your mind.

7. Expectations from Professors

When the professor expects you to write five ten-page papers, present on a group project, and study for a final exam and then asks why you didn’t get the best grade, you’re just like…

8. Giving a Friend Advice

Trying to talk a friend through the stress of final exams. Sometimes, the advice you think is odd goes a long way.

9. Early Morning Classes

When someone asks why you didn’t register for an 8 a.m. class, this is what you say. It explains everything.

10. Appreciating Your Best Friends

When summer break comes and you realize just how incredibly lucky you are to have the most wonderful friends surrounding you. Hits you right in the feels.

So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
