Life philosophies are a weird thing.
I think a lot about life. Some people never think about life and thats okay, because boring people are people too.
The band Smash Mouth once said in their infamous song All Star: “Didn't make sense not to live for fun: your brain get smart but your head gets dumb.” Combining this with what famous philosopher Albert Camus (who was obviously heavily influenced by Smash Mouth) said, saying that “Real generosity toward the future lies in giving all to the present.” It gives a perspective that in order to be truly happy, you must focus your life on whats going on right now rather than using those thoughts on things like the future, which are always going to have some uncontrollable variability to them. To fully embrace our own existence is terrifying but to embrace our existence in the "now" and not the future helps us live our most authentic life possible. People worry so much about the meaning of life that they miss out on life all together.
The crazy thing is you can’t really learn these things from books. Everything is only tangentially relevant, until you experiences it on a first hand level. In order for that to happen, you have to confront life head on, go for it and make mistakes and grow and evolve.
Philosophy and life as a whole can’t be summarized into one paragraph or article. The world and the beings within it are much more complex than any of us can begin to actually understand. That being said, its beneficial when people have their own philosophy on living, an original perspective of life that ultimately will bring the most happiness and the most purpose to their existence. Make yourself happy in your own way, and your love for the world will be that much greater. Most importantly, always attempt to better yourself in the long run.
