Let’s be honest, we all have a little bit of Nick Miller in us. Maybe it’s your budgeting problems, distrust of fish or your capability of moonwalking away from awkward situations. Either way, Nick Miller has something to teach us in every area of Life and here are just a couple.

1. Sometimes Life doesn’t turn out the way you planned and you need to take some time by yourself to figure out where you’re at.

It's okay to be alone every once in a while, healthy even. It helps you realize who you want to be.

2. It's okay to ask for help when you're in a tight spot. That’s what your friends are for.

True friendship isn't about being there when it's convenient. It's about being there when it's not.

3. Have a good time and enjoy the moment.

You don't get the same moment in life twice so make sure you enjoy it to the full extent.

4. It's okay to cry. Breakups are hard (Caroline wasn’t worthy of Nick anyway)

Just because it hurts. Just because it's really painful, doesn't mean that its not the best thing for you in the long run.

5. Exercising is much more fun to do around friends.

Put on some old Hannah Montana songs or the JoBros and start moving. You'll feel better in the long run and you'll make memories while you kiss those extra calories goodbye.

6. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

Stop beating yourself up. Life is confusing, and anyone who claims that they have all the answers has probably all the wrong ones.

7. Money is hard to come by so make sure you stick to your budget.

Money is the worst, but unfortunately, we need it to function in life. Even if you choose to use a brown paper bag instead of bank to store it in, make sure you manage it the best you can.

8. Always treat your girl right and tell her how you feel.

You might think she wants your car, your money, and your gifts. But the right woman wants your time, your honesty, your effort and you choose to put her as a priority..... as well as an occasional french fry from your plate.

9.Don’t let anyone ever stop you from being your strangely weird self.

Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. And remember to always break for birds and rock a lot of polka dots when you get the chance.

10.Be proud of your accomplishments …. even if it's writing the first paragraph of your zombie novel.

Don't wait until you've reached your goal to be proud of yourself. Be proud of every step you take to reaching that goal.

11.People are sometimes the worst and it's okay to be angry with the world every once in a while .. everyone can understand that.

Sometimes you need to be angry... just don't stay angry.

12. Be a supportive friend, and know when they need to see you dance terribly to make them smile.

Act goofy. Be silly. Put a bike helmet on your head, do the chicken dance in slow motion. If it puts a smile on your friend's face, it's totally worth the occasional embarrassment.

13. Never be afraid to work Disney song lyrics into a normal conversation.

Let me share a whole new woooooooorld .... with you

14. Be confident in your beliefs.

Even if your beliefs are ridiculous, they are what make you who you are as person.

16. Always Look on the bright side of things.

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong. Focus on what can go right. Look for the positives and always look for the best in every situation.

17. Eating healthy is always hard but keep trying.

My mind says you're not actually hungry... but my heart says eat another potsticker

18. Find your person.

How often do you find a person who puts up with your bad habits, puts up with your crap, and can still say they like you at the end of the day? Hold on to those weirdos the best you can.

19. Always be your most authentic self.

Life is not a competition. Be you. Don't try to be someone else.

20. And realize how far you’ve come.

One day it just clicks. You realize what's important and what isn't. You learn to care less about what other people think about you and more you think about yourself. You realize how far you've come and you remember when you thought things were a mess and that you'd never recover. And then you smile. You smile because you are truly proud of yourself and person you've fought to become.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
