Life Lessons Taught To Us By '90s Shows
Icy Tales

Ready to feel nostalgic? Anyone who is a `90s kid will always talk about the great shows that we watched during our childhoods as we were growing up. We always find that the shows that are being made today are nothing compared to the ones made when we were kids. By the way, this is entirely true. Not only were these some amazing shows, they also taught us some valuable lessons. Here are some of the best `90s shows that taught us some life lessons.

1. "All That"

It's Allllllllll That! This was our own Saturday Night Live (SNL) for kids. The best comedic sketches were on this show along with the best stars that came from it such as Amanda Bynes, Drake Bell, Josh Peck, Keenan Thompson, and so many more! This show taught us that humor is the best way to get through life and made us wish that Good Burger actually existed.

2. "Hey Arnold!"

Arnold is a very likable character. This is because he always try to help the ones around him and tries to have a positive attitude. If we all try to act more like this than we can all be like Arnold.

3. "Rugrats"

Not only did this show helped us to discover that all babies have secret lives, but showed us that there will always be a bratty Angelica that will try to put you and your friends down.

4. "Boy Meets World"

This show teaches us a life lesson in every episode. It teaches us the importance of friendship, family and about being a good person in general.

5. "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"

This show teaches us that it is not about where you come from but it is about where you go in life. Will was able to find the opportunities that he was able to gain from living with his uncle and aunt. This show also teaches us that nothing compares to the Carlton dance.

6. "Keenan and Kel"

Who likes orange soda?! Keenan and Kel taught us the importance of friendship. They were always there for each other through every crazy idea and situation. There is no one who is more loyal to you than your best friend.

7. "The Amanda Show"

This show was hilarious and full of skits such as Moody's Point and the Girl's Room. Amanda helped us to embrace our weird side and that there are dancing lobsters at court. Unfortunately there wasn't any when she went to court.

8. "The Wild Thornberrys"

This show helped everyone to become animal lovers and encouraged all of us to travel. We all wished that we could go to the places that they went to and that we could speak to animals like Eliza did. If only my cat could talk.

9. "CatDog"

This show taught us that sometimes opposites work the best together. Even if they are attached to one another.

10. "Rocket Power"

Who knew that one of our role models would turn out to be Tito? He always spoke words of wisdom. One of his advice that he stated in the show was, "as the ancient Hawaiians used to say, the coconut is always sweeter on the palm tree you can't reach." The kids also worked together and bonded over the sports that they played.

11. "Sister, Sister"

Sister, Sister was really relatable when it came to me and my sister. We are also complete opposites but we love each other and always have a great time together. This show taught us the value in sisters.

12. "The PowerPuff Girls"

This show teaches us that girls are just as powerful and strong as boys. As long as you have your best girlfriends than you can take on anything.

13. "Courage the Cowardly Dog"

Stupid dog! This show taught us that it is okay to be afraid. Courage was scared throughout the entire series. However, he always faced his fears and tried to stop the evil that was coming into his life in every episode.

14. "Dexter's Laboratory"

Omelette du fromage. This show taught us to embrace our genius side and passion. Dexter was passionate about science and used his creativity for his experiments.

15. "Ed, Edd, and Eddy"

Ed, Edd, and Eddy were the misfits of the cul-da-sac. This show teaches us that you are never alone and that you as long as you have your own friends than you can be misfits together. These friends will make you feel that you fit right in.

16. "Recess"

This show made us jealous that our recess time was nothing compared their recess.

17. "Full House"

Full House taught us that our family is always there for us. As DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle are growing up, Becky and the guys are always there to teach them valuable lessons in life.

18. "Tom and Jerry"

This show teaches you that size doesn't matter. A small mouse can easily outsmart the big cat.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
