They can teach you more than how to finger paint.

Here's 6 Life Lessons Learned From Kids
Cloudfront

Kids are strange creatures but they can teach us a lot about our own grown up lives without even realizing it. They are gross and hilarious little people and everyone should appreciate them.

1. How to share.

Kids hate sharing, it's the worst thing to them. But, when a kid sees a friend sad they will bring them their favorite toy or offer up their snack.

2. Friends come and go.

I can't even count the amount of times I've had a kid come up to my crying because "Jason doesn't want to be my friend anymore". My response is always "Go play with someone else" and immediately that kid cheers up and finds someone new. Obviously, this is not the same as a grown up relationship but it just proves that friends will leave and you're going to be okay.

3. How to brush it off.

I have seen kids face plant off the top of the playground and as long as there is no blood they get up shake it off and move on. While someone my age is probably not worried about falling off the top of the playground there are times when you will get hurt and you just need to know you will be okay and shake it off.

4. To talk it out.

We always tell kids to use their words. Instead of pushing ask them to move over. As teenagers we need to use our words when there is a conflict. Instead of tweeting about it or talking about it to all our friends we need to know how to talk it out with our peers and solve conflicts the easy way.

5. Family is everything.

I can't even count how many times I have had a kid come up to me telling me how much they miss their mom our dad. It doesn't matter how much fun they are having playing with their friends their family is always in the back of their mind. As young adults we should have the same mindset, family should always come first.

6. There's nothing more important than having fun.

It doesn't matter what kind of day they are having, as long as they get to play outside it can be considered a great day. We need to think the same way, doesn't matter what is stressing us out or making us upset. We need to do things that we enjoy every day.

My advice is to spend as much time as you can with kids. They will teach you things you never knew you had to learn.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
