Through the years, I have learned many lessons that have changed my life. Some of them were tough to learn while others just happened without me being aware of them. I am--slowly--becoming an adult, and as years go by I realized that some things have changed. That is why I have decided to share some important lessons you need to know.

1. As you get older you get more and more responsibilities...

I always wanted to become independent, but I never knew it would be this hard to become an adult.

2. You have to be a role model

There is a lot of people watching you, but also, since you are an adult, your actions may have severe consequences. Just be thoughtful about your actions and be that person everyone wants to be.

3. You will still experience many disappointments

Yes, sadly they are always there.

4. It is hard to define and find "happiness"

It may take a while, but if you define what happiness is for you, then it is easier to set goals to get there.

5. Slow down! It is fine if you still haven't figured out what you are going to do with your life

You don't need to rush. Just take your time because every decision you make matters.

6. Don't try to change for others

It is not worth it...Stay true to yourself.

7. Do not procrastinate

This is highly important. From my own experience, I know that I could've accomplished so many things, but I decided to procrastinate. Time is something you won't get back.

8. Fake it until you make it

There are several things that scare us and we just stop doing something because fear takes over us. However, if for a moment we just pretend we are not scared, then we will believe that we can do anything.

9. Be passionate about what you do

It is very IMPORTANT to find something you are passionate about and stick to it.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help.
