4 Life Lessons From 'Naruto'
Saiyan Island

Ever since "Naruto" came out, I've watched the show. I've seen every episode, movie, and I've even watched every episode of Naruto Shippuden. I always hear from friends who don't watch "Naruto," "Why do you watch 'Naruto?'" or "What makes it so good?" That had me thinking, why do I watch "Naruto?" I mean it's just a bunch of teens and their sensei fighting a group trying to get back their teammate. While watching "Naruto," I began to realize that "Naruto" was so much more than the fights, the missions, and the many English subtitles, because anime isn't really anime unless you actually watch it in Japanese. "Naruto" comes with so many life lessons embedded within almost every episode. To answer the question many of my friends have asked me, here are the life lessons I've learned from "Naruto" that makes me watch it to this day....For those who don't watch the show, prepare to be slightly confused about what I'm talking about

1. Stay determined and never go back on your word.

If anyone could teach someone about staying determined and to follow their word, it's Naruto. Having the nine-tail fox demon in him since birth, Naruto was shunned by the Leaf Village. At first, Naruto felt pain because of this but instead of dwelling on it, he turned it into drive to fulfill him dream of becoming hokage and proving to everyone that he's more than what's inside of him

2. Don't go out seeking revenge.

Ever since Itachi Uchiha murdered his entire clan, including his and sasuke's parents, Sasuke spent his entire life seeking revenge on Itachi. Once Sasuke did get his revenge, he regretted his decision because he realized his brother was just following orders.

3. Don't give up on the people you love.

When Sasuke left the Leaf Village, Naruto did everything in his power to get him back. No matter how many times they fought and no matter how many times Sasuke ran away, Naruto never gave up and brought Sasuke back to the leaf village

4. Teamwork is key.

One of the first tests Kakashi gave team seven was to work as a team to try and take one of his bells. When Naruto failed, he was tied up and was told he could not eat. Sasuke and Sakura however, shared their lunch with Naruto because they knew if they were going to be a team, he would need his strength. Although though they defied Kakashi, that caused them to pass the test because they worked as a team.

To some people, "Naruto" might just be anime but to me, "Naruto" is where I can find a lot of motivation and learn valuable things in life.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
