Most people say you're teenage years are the toughest. I call major bull on that. Being a twenty something has made me realize, these are our toughest years. These are the years we graduate and start adulting and you know grow up. I've learned a few things from Friends about adulting and living your life as a twenty something.

These are some very awkward times

I honestly thought my most awkward year was middle school years. But after becoming a twenty something I realize that I am Chandler and that awkward times are basically all I live for. And if I could get paid for it, I'd have over a million dollars for my awkwardness.

Like when you start a new job and have to make new friends

Okay so this isn't from Friends but honestly starting a new job can be very exciting, but making new friends can be tough. I mean if we can make them in grade school and then college we can make them at our new job right?

Everyone's getting married or engaged, and then there's you

Every single time I turn around, someone is either engaged or married. You're like 20 and you're already married. You were 6 yesterday. It can be a little discouraging from time to time if all your friends are in committed relationships or engaged and planning a wedding, but no worries you'll be next.

It's okay to be a little lost

When you're twenty something what even is a plan? To be honest no one who is in there twenties has a life plan quite yet. So drink some chocolate milk and breathe. It's okay not to know quite yet.

Being an adult isn't as terrifying as it sounds

Being twenty something means you're just a big kid... With an ID.. And a job... and an apartment... and bills... Okay okay but seriously when you think about it, you're technically just a kid, so it's acceptable to just build a box fort and watch TV.

You will find your Lobster

One thing I've learned from Phoebe Buffay is that love is like a lobster.... How? No idea, but when your lobster comes along it's a great thing. So wait. Don't rush it.

The way they flip people off is the best way

Enough said.

When one person says they're on a brake but doesn't make it clear to their spouse

Word of advice, either make it clear or have it come up a dozen times for the next 7 years.

Smelly cat will always be the greatest song ever written

When I first heard this song I fell in love with it.. I mean who wouldn't? Smelly Cat is just apart of our lives forever.

It's not Thanksgiving unless someone gets their head stuck in a turkey

One of the best episodes I've ever watched is the episode where Joey got the turkey stuck on his head. I don't think I've ever related to something so funny in my entire life.

Never get a spray tan.

Ross is a prime example as to why you shouldn't get a spray tan, and if you do, don't count Mississippi's.

When your refrigerator is broken... I mean....

When in doubt eat everything.

Phoebe's songs are so relatable.

I mean seriously. This song relates to every past relationship.

"How you Doin'?" will always be the best pick up line

Work life isn't all happiness and rainbows.

Sometimes work is just a pain and you truly do feel like killing someone.

Sometimes your soulmate has been there all along. You may be surprised.

Don't rush it. Sometimes your soulmate is right in front of you the entire time. And most of the time it's someone you'd never think would be your soulmate, turns out to be "the one".

And no matter what happens in life your Friends are always there for you.

Friendship is important. No matter what you've gone through, your best friends will be your rock through all the struggles that become life.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
