I am writing this completely off the cuff and with whatever comes to my mind first. Sometimes in life, we learn from our lessons. Those lessons were manufactured into our individual lives to make us stronger. Lately, I have felt very uninspired. Although I try to be a positive person, there is a point where whatever is going on around you begins to dominate the mood. I know I am one of the first to constantly preach to the choir, but admittedly, it is not easy.
We all mistakes that we regret. Just know that you cannot let one aspect of your life define yourself, regardless of what it may be. I am a firm believer in destiny. Everything happens for a reason, and the energies that you take with you around will be a big influence. As common saying goes, "the comeback will be stronger than the setback" if you let it.
2020 has been a year of constant change. Everywhere I look, we are changing. Who would have ever thought that we would suffer through a pandemic killing thousands of people? Or an active hurricane season which inevitably will exhaust the naming list and that is going to be in the record books with 2005? Or about the uprising and protests in a fight for racial equality following the death of George Floyd? I think we did all kind of expect, though, that the presidential election would be a nasty one in the making. Those debates will be killer for ratings.
My point here is that just as you cannot judge a book by its cover – you cannot judge your experiences as such. Likewise, you cannot judge other situations completely unless you stepped into their shoes yourself. Your voice will always be stronger. Each life experience has its own individual hidden meaning, a "blessing in disguise". If you believe in that, of course. I sure do. Maybe that is viewed as more of an empty platitude type of thing.
We get tangled in so many of our own lives and our situations and forget about everything else. It becomes natural human phenomena.
If this year has taught me anything, it is that we should be there for each other as much as we can. Acknowledge the struggles, we all face. We are all fighting silent battles. Let us try to understand each other more. It will make life a little easier.
