Life is like a never stopping rollercoaster and I hate rollercoasters, but with that being said life can be full of twists and turns. The best part is we never see those twists and turns coming they always catch us by surprise at the last minute.... how mean is that? There is a moment in ones life where they might look at themselves in the mirror and say you know what I know exactly where is my life is going and what is going to happen in it, then a turn comes and the moment is gone and your once again floating in space trying to figure out what your life is suppose to be. The point I am trying to make here is that it is impossible to know what is going to happen in life, we try so hard to predict and plan what life is going to be like for us in the future that we forget that we are not living in the present. We are forcing our selves into thinking so hard about the future that we miss the thing that are right there in front of our faces. This isn't just one individual this is everybody it does not just effect one population or group of people. When are we going to find that it is so much easier to take everyday for what it is for and not to think about the what if's or what would happen. So yeah life is crazy messed up thing that we can't control, I know that is hard for some people to grasp, but guys really roll with the punches and enjoy the twists and turns that life has given you. Try ti live in the present and take each day as it comes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
