Life happens. It's inevitable, your best friends breaks your heart, you can't seem to get a handle on one of classes, you generally feel like a hot mess. Believe me, I get it and I'm here to tell you, it's okay to be less than your best, even on most days. Life is hard to explain, one day everything is going perfectly, then suddenly it isn't. If you've ever found yourself in one or more of the situations listed above, you should know this:

1. No one is perfect. Seriously, no one. Now, read that statement again and believe it

2. Just because you care about someone, it doesn't mean you should allow them to hurt you:

Now this one I truly get. I know it's hard to let go of someone you care deeply about, but sometimes no matter much we try to make another see things from our perspective, they can't. It's not wrong, it doesn't make them terrible, it just means that their heart isn't the same as yours and you should let them be.

3. Number two is nearly impossible to follow:

Life hurts, a lot and sometimes no matter how much we know we should move on from something that is causing us pain, we can't. Just step back, breathe, reevaluate, and strive forward.

4. Be kind to everyone:

Just try this one, I promise you'll end up with the greatest friends you ever imagined.

5. It's okay to be yourself:

Truly, some people will like you for it, some will love you, and others won't care. So, you might as well be who you really are.

6. Take care of yourself:

If I had a dollar for every time I got sick because I wasn't taking care of myself, I'd have enough money to pay for my health insurance.

7. Wash your face twice a day:

This isn't really a formal rule of life, and I may be partial because I am a dermatological neat freak, but starting and ending the day with a fresh face only sets you up for success.

8. Don't dwell on your mistakes:

Was this day a bad day? Don't let it ruin tomorrow.

9.Drink some water:

Actually, drink a lot. It's great for you.

10. Don't forget to smile.

So, there you go. IF you ever find yourself in a situation where you need some encouragement; remember the ten key rules to life.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
