Life has been such a whirlwind lately. I have met lots of amazing people throughout this past week and I truly am grateful. I not only have a group of Sigma Alpha Omega women that I hang out with frequently but I now have the women of Delight that I spend my time with as well. I have just started my journey with all of these inspiring women and I cannot wait to see where the journey takes me.
Last week, I went to Delight Ministries at my school. For those who aren't are familiar with this organization on their campus, it's college-aged woman that get together once a week to worship and spend time with the Lord. It truly is an experience so if you have it on your campus, I recommend you try going one time.
I went for my first time last week and the experience was so life-changing. The songs that we sang and the words that were said by Rachel Dennis were the highlights of my night. It made me really take in every single moment and to let my true characteristics shine.
Rachel's words inspired me. She made us realize that we are more than just college students, we are all unique to society. Our uniqueness is something that we shouldn't shy away from in life and she made that clear to us when she spoke. I have learned to love my uniqueness and everyone else's that I know.
I think it's pretty cool that all of the women in the room at Delight all have a different story. But what is the same about everyone's story in the room is that Christ is incorporated into the stories in some way.
I leave you with one of my favorite bible verses. It is so true, no matter what we will not fail.We won't let our uniqueness get in the way and we will let the Lord help us when things are difficult in our lives.
God is within her, she will not fail -Psalm 46:5
