Life Can Be Hairy Sometimes

Did you know that life is a lot like hair?

Thought of the day: Life is like hair…

Seriously it is.

Long & Short

Some people have long hair and some have short hair. We don’t know exactly how long our lives will be, only God knows. Some of us live to be 100 years old and others lives may not even last 10 minutes. Same goes for the fact that everyone has their own style of hair that best suits them just like everyone lives their own lifestyles. Just as they should.

Crazy

Some days are just stressful… like trying to fix your hair when it refuses to do what you want it to do. It is best to just throw on a hat (or fake smile) and go on with the day when things just aren’t going your way.

Sometimes a little hairspray goes a long way.

Pretty

I love the pretty days in life when all is nice and perfect. The best days are the great hair days for sure, just like in life when everything is going your way. Not every day starts out perfect, just like when you roll out of bed and have some major bed head going on. You make your hair look better, or you make your day go better. Your day is what you make it.

To cut or not to cut

Why is it that one of the hardest choices is to decide whether or not to let your hair grow out long or to cut it back short? Sometimes the easiest decision isn’t the right one. Waiting for something is usually way more worth it rather than doing something for temporary happiness. Just like cutting your hair sounds like the best idea in the moment, however, if you wait and let it grow long like you want then it will be worth the wait.

Hair color

No matter what color your hair is doesn’t make you a different person from the rest. If you want your hair naturally brown or if you want your hair bright pink that is your choice. Don’t let others tell you that you can’t be YOU. Express yourself the best way that you know how.

So, whatever kind of hair day we are having or what kind of life we are living, everyone is different and it is up to you on how your day turns out or how your hair looks. Sure the weather could affect our hair, but we find a way to make it work. Just like in life, don’t let others bring you down. Make your life your own!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
