Lies.
It's not just one instrument, it's at least 3 or 4.
We don't just play, we learn other instruments, practice for hours a day, and do all of our homework on top of that.
For us performers, we may not learn other instruments, but we still spend hours on end with our one sole instrument.
We don't always have to solve a math problem, but have to figure out how to play a string of sixteenth notes in cut time with an allegro tempo.
Most of you probably did not understand what that above statement just meant, because we have so many music terms that we need to know by heart.
We have juries at the end of the year. In other words, playing all of our pieces from the semester in front of our teachers...crying.
"Oh, A Cello! Like a really big violin!"
