Being a Mets fan is like riding a roller coaster; ups, downs, twists, turns, and then finally you can stop screaming because the ride is over. There are so many reasons to love and hate being a Mets fan but here are my top 10..

1. Pitching- Hate

Injured, Injured, INJURED. Any Mets fans knows just what a heartbreaking season it has been, but nothing is more heartbreaking than just thinking about our pitching staff. It seems like the Mets have had curse spelled upon them from the baseball gods that won't allow for a single one of our pitchers to go an entire season without some type of career threating injury. Steven Matz, out for the season after surgery on his left elbow. Noah Syndergaard, rehab assignment after being on the disabled list (DL) after a partial tear in his right labia. Jacob Degrom was on the DL earlier this season after suffering a Tricep injury. And don't even get me started on Matt Harvey that man is a complete MESS!

2. New Boys on the Block- Love

After and very interesting and frustrating trade deadline and the few weeks following it seemed as though the Mets had absolutely no one left on the team. We were playing players who hadn't seen the field in months and hoping for the best. Fans were up in arms about what management was doing to us, trading some of the fan favorites including (but not limited to); Jay Bruce, Curtis Granderson, and Lucas Duda. Management had to do something, so the brought up two of our top prospects, Dominic Smith and Amed Rosario. Rosario was first and Smith followed shortly behind. Like any other player, it took a little while for them to get their major league feet underneath them but after that, they didn't look back. Smith has 29 RBI's and 7 home runs including one that he hit as I'm writing this. Rosario had 10 RBI's and 4 home runs before being played on the DL for an injured finger (go figure). Yesterday, 9/13, he made his return going 3-4 with a stolen base and two RBI's.

3. Coaching- Hate

Yea Terry, I feel the same way.. but about you. As a Mets fan lets be real our coach is a joke. During the games, he doesn't even look like he knows why he's there, let alone knowing how to coach these men. I hate seeing his face, listening to his voice, or even hearing his name brought into a conversation about the Mets. Mets fans can give a lot of the credit for us being so terrible and injury prone to him. Injuries could have been prevented if he had taken players out of the game when the first complained of a discomfort instead of making them play through it and eventually complete tear something *cough couch* Yoenis Cespedes. Putting together better lineups including all the way down to just where players bat is just a struggle for him, like come on Terry why is a player in a slump batting cleanup? He chooses to play players who are in a slump over players who are on a hot streak. Did you ever hear the saying "ride the hot bat" Terry? If (and please no) he is the manager next year someone needs to teach this man what the hell he's doing before he ruins this team completely. PLEASE.

4. Yankees- Hate

No one cares about Aaron Judge, SHUT UP ALREADY. We get it he's good and you guys are having a good season but shut up already. After two years of not making the playoffs, you think you guys are gonna take on the world. Well let us be the first one to tell you, you're not. Ride this little Judge train as far as it'll get you till its dies but when it does we as Mets fans are gonna be cheering the loudest. Like, let's all be real with ourselves right now if we had a functioning starting line up instead of having a packed DL we would have wiped the floor with your pinstripes.

5. Wilmer Flores- Love

If he's not your favorite player you need to rethink your whole life as a Mets fan. I mean what more could you ask for? This boy has the heart of a lion when it comes to the Mets, he's broken down and cried on the field when he thought he was going to be traded, he's told Yasiel Puig off when he tried to make a fool of the Mets, and he's put his all into every game he's played wearing the blue and orange. Nowadays you see players out there that you can tell are just out there for the pay check but with Wilmer it's quite obviously different, he is out there because he loves New York and he loves being a Met. I just the coaching staff would give him more chances to show what he's actually worth (yes Terry, I'm talking to you).

6. David Wright- Love/Hate

As Mets fans, we all have to accept the fact that David Wright will never play the game of baseball again. As sad as that makes some of us we have to just have to just accept the facts at this point. He has not played all year and he the soonest he even has a chance of playing is late next season. David Wright along with everyone in the Mets organizations needs to accept the end is upon us and he should go out with whatever glory he has left. He was one of the most humble and well-respected players in Mets history and he deserves to go out with a bang. So let's give him a big send off where every night is almost like David Wright night. He gets the send off he deserves and we get to save money in the long run. If David Wright was to retire in the off season the Mets would save 20 million dollars that would be able to go into a player that is on the field and putting in the work to earn that money.

7. Predictions- Hate

"2017 will be the year for the Mets 'great pitching', 'great bullpen', 'great lineup'. Maybe this will be their year". Stop thinking we gonna do well because you're giving us fans false hope. You experts know just as well as we do that something is going to stop us from being successful. Whether it's injuries, trades, management, or the front office something will screw us over. It's nice to hear someone has faith in us but until we get our sh*t together we not going to win anything. So instead of giving us false hope give us air time devoted to the campaign to fire management.

8. Jokes- Love/Hate

Mets jokes are almost as old as Terry Collins himself. It's almost like an American past time to make jokes about our team. Some of them are actually funny but some actually really hit the heart. We've had companies like the New York Post make fun of us, The Daily News, and even Family Guy poked fun at our pain a few years ago. Most the time we can look at these jokes and get a good laugh at them, after all, we know more than anything how laughable at times it is to be a Mets fan.

9. The Allstar Break- Hate

The midpoint of the season is often one of the most heart breaking times as a Mets fan for a few reasons. One we often only have the minimum one player in the game and they almost never start along with the fact the usually only see about one inning of play. Now, of course, there is a lot of players and barely enough innings for players to see playing time but even last year when DeGrom when out and practically gave a pitching clinic, striking out all three batters in nine pitches he still only saw one inning of play. Another reason Mets fans hate to see the all star break is the fact that usually after the all star break our season makes no difference. We're out there playing to just finish out the season at this point because we're so far behind it'd take a miracle to get us out of this hole. Obviously with the exception of the past few years the all star break has ended our competitive play and begins out "thinking" about next year even though we all that management obviously doesn't spend too much time on that.

10. Heart- Love

No matter how bad the team is there is one thing that is for sure, we will still love our team. The Mets are a team that people have always been drawn toward, we are a family friendly organization and our players always try to make your time memorable at Citi field by taking time out of their day to sign autographs and take pictures with fans. One thing is true with the Mets is that as long as we love them as players they will love us as fans. No matter how hard times get we have to continue to bleed our orange and blue because maybe, just maybe, we'll win a championship soon.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
