6 Ways To Make Everyone Hate You In A College Library

The library is the place students love and hate. While it is the ideal place to get things done, we dread having to spend hours in the library. What makes it even worse is that people don't understand that they are actually in the library and people actually have to do work. Here are some common annoyances in the library:

1. Being on your cellphone.

Do not make a phone call when you're in the library, even if you're in the non-quiet section. If you have to make a phone call, make it super quick because it is VERY distracting.

2. Face Time.

Even worse than hearing people on the phone is hearing them make a face time call. You're in a library! Do work or get out!

3. Coffee Runs

Especially during finals week, you will always need a break for a coffee run to get more energy. Ask your friends around you because it is most likely that they need some too.

4. Music played out loud.

You wouldn't believe the amount of people who don't have headphones and think that it is okay to play their music out loud for everyone to hear.

5. Socializing.

People are trying to work and it is very distracting when people call out across the library to their friends or laugh obnoxiously. Remember a library is supposed to be a place to get work done, not a place to hang with your friends.

6. Chomping food.

Bringing food to the library during a long study night is fine, but make sure you're not bringing chips or something that makes loud crunches or gives off a strong smell. There's a cafeteria for that!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
