On Feb. 23, the Department of Justice and the Department of Education extracted a regulation regarding the acknowledgment to recognize individuals by their gender identity instead of their assigned sex at birth. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in the United States between ages 10 to 24. It has been reported approximately 40% of young LGBT are likely to attempt suicide at least once before they turn 25.
