For some reason, there's a stigma that a boy and girl cannot just be friends without everyone thinking that they're dating. I can honestly say that many people were never satisfied with us just being friends and always hassled us about dating and being in love with each other. Yes, we love each other, but not in the relationship aspect. You're my rock, my best friend, and my other half. So, here's to you, and being the best friend any one could ever ask for.

Thank you for always making me laugh until I cry. Whenever you sense I’m in a bad mood, rather than having me talk it out, you try to make me feel better- usually with stupid jokes, terrible singing, and hideous SnapChats. You always know the right thing to say to put a smile on my face and to make my stomach hurt from laughter. Sometimes, we won't even say anything to each other, and will just sit and laugh endlessly at absolutely nothing.

Thank you for being there at all hours of the day. Through all the boy drama, school stress, and family issues, sometimes it seems like no one cares. You always make it a point to show that you'll always be there for me by constantly checking up on me. I know you're the first person that I can turn to for everything and anything; whatever time of day it is. I’m afraid to bother other people with my problems, but you’re always more than willing to talk to me and give me advice. You've shown me my worth and importance. You rationalize everything I say and talk sense into me when I’m being ridiculous - which is more often than I like to admit :P.

Thank you for never giving up on our friendship and always encouraging me. We can go days without speaking, and then pick back up right where we last left off. Thank you for always being positive and optimistic even in those times where I think it's the end of the world. It’s a reminder for me to stay strong when things aren’t looking too great because the storm will always pass. With struggle comes strength and you've always make sure to help me imagine a more positive outcome.

Thank you for being an all round amazing person and friend. I am so blessed to be able to call you my best friend for the past nine years. Your generosity and work ethic is inspiring. You're constantly bettering yourself and the people around you. You've helped shaped me into the person I am today and I couldn't be more grateful for that.

Thank you for sticking by my side all of this time. I know I’m a lot to handle, and I’m sure I annoy the hell out of you all the time. So thanks for (somewhat) putting up with me and never taking my sarcasm too seriously.

I appreciate you more than you'll ever know. It means so much to me knowing we’ll be friends forever, (haha you're stuck with me forever), and you’re always just a call or text away.

Love always,

Your bestfran (because friend has end in it)

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Yes, it IS a sport. Yes, I fall all the time. No, I do not ride in jeans with a cowgirl hat on.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
